Preliminary Approval of Class Action Settlement Granted in Smith v. JEM Group, Inc. Lawsuit

On September 10th, 2013, the Honorable Robert J. Bryan of the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington granted preliminary approval to a class action settlement reached in Smith v. JEM Group, Inc., et al., which alleges that Defendants violated Washington’s Debt Adjusting Act and Consumer Protection Act and injured Washington consumers. The settlement agreements were reached with Defendants JEM Group, Inc. and Joanne Garneau.

If you are a Washington resident for whom JEM Group, Inc. agreed to provide debt adjusting services, you are a potential member of this Class. Members who do not exclude themselves from the Class will receive monetary awards. This website is provided by Class Counsel as a service to members of the Class.
