Please join TMLG and Innocence Project Northwest at the 2016 Stand for Innocence Benefit & Awards Dinner on May 12. Founded in 1997, IPNW has freed 14 men and women who collectively served over 100 years in prison for crimes they did not commit. TMLG is currently representing three of the individuals pictured above in a wrongful conviction lawsuit against Washington State.
The keynote speaker will be death row exoneree Anthony Ray Hinton. Mr. Hinton spent 30 years on Alabama’s death row for a crime he did not commit before he was exonerated in 2015 by Bryan Stevenson’s Equal Justice Initiative. Read more about Mr. Hinton’s story here. The dinner will celebrate this year’s champions of justice and the fourteen exonerees who regained their freedom with the help of IPNW, their pro bono partners and donors. Event proceeds fund continued efforts to free innocent Washington prisoners, promote policy reforms, and increase the support of exonerees as they work to rebuild their lives in freedom.
