SCAM ALERT: Terrell Marshall Law Group is not investigating any potential cases over mishandled jury summons. We are also not affiliated with the King County Sheriff’s Office or Apex Law Group. You should ignore any calls or emails in that regard, especially if you are asked to place funds into a “receivers account” to avoid a warrant for your arrest. This is a scam.

Terrell Marshall Law Group wishes you a happy holiday season and a joyful New Year. We hope you can rest and relax with family and friends, and that you find health and happiness in 2025.

Celebrating Success in 2024

As the year comes to a close, we'd like to highlight some of our work as we look forward to the New Year. We would also like to thank our co-counsel, coalition partners, and clients for working with us towards justice in 2024.

National Recognition

Terrell Marshall ushered in 2024 by celebrating Beth Terrell’s receipt of the National Consumer Law Center’s 2023 Vern Countryman award. In October 2024, Terrell Marshall learned that the nearly $16.7 million jury verdict the firm achieved in Ellis v. University of Washington Police Department was recognized as one of the Top 10 Labor and Employment verdicts in the United States in 2023. Terrell Marshall is extremely proud of Beth Terrell, Toby Marshall, and Adrienne McEntee, who were named as 2024 Washington Super Lawyers.

Big Wins

Courts granted final approval to six Terrell Marshall class action settlements worth tens of millions of dollars and benefitting tens of thousands of workers and consumers. Terrell Marshall also represented workers in individual and multi-plaintiff wage theft, discrimination, retaliation, and harassment cases, resulting in millions of dollars in back wages and emotional distress damages being paid to our clients. Terrell Marshall thanks its co-counsel, clients, and coalition partners for their essential role in achieving these results.

Partnering with State and National Advocates

Terrell Marshall proudly supports and partners with organizations like Public Justice, ACLU, Fair Work Center, Working Washington, National Consumer Law Center, NW Consumer Law Center, NACA, Oregon Consumer Justice, Towards Justice, Unemployment Law Project, Consumer Federation of America, and Public Citizen. We look forward to continuing to partner with you to protect workers, consumers, and other individuals and groups whose rights have been violated.

Contributing to the Community

Blythe Chandler and Jordan Berger authored an amicus brief that was filed in the Washington Supreme Court on behalf of Washington Employment Lawyers Association addressing whether Washington should continue to follow American Pipe tolling to protect claimants’ rights under Washington law. Terrell Marshall attorneys also presented at numerous conferences over the course of the year, sharing insights and experience gleaned from the firm’s busy practice. Terrell Marshall continues its efforts to further diversity and inclusion in the legal profession and would like to congratulate their Fall 2024 Diversity Scholarship recipients, Alejandra Tinoco Bonilla and Amy Correa, who are both attending Seattle University School of Law. Terrell Marshall attorney Jordan Berger also was accepted to attend the Washington Leadership Institute, a leadership development program whose mission is to recruit, train, and develop traditionally underrepresented attorneys for future leadership positions in the Washington State Bar Association and legal community.
