Beaty v. Ford Motor Company
About the Case:
Terrell Marshall Law Group PLLC is pursuing a class action lawsuit against Ford Motor Company on behalf of consumers who purchased or leased Ford vehicles with panoramic sunroofs. The affected vehicles include the Ford Edge (2007-present), Ford Flex (2009-2016), Ford Focus (2009-2016), Ford Fusion (2010-present), Ford Explorer (2011-2016), Ford F 150 (2011-2016), Ford Mustang (2009-2014), Ford Escape (2008-2016), Ford Transit Connect (2014-2106), Ford C-Max (2013-2016), Lincoln MKX (2007-2016), Lincoln MKS (2009-2015), Lincoln MKZ (2013-2016), Lincoln MKT (2010-2016), and Mercury Milan (2010-2011) with factory-installed panoramic sunroofs. Plaintiffs Jacob and Jessica Beaty allege in their complaint that Ford sold and leased these vehicles without disclosing that the panoramic sunroofs could spontaneously shatter, causing broken glass to rain down on drivers and passengers, even though Ford was aware of this dangerous defect.
Case Status:
Plaintiffs filed their complaint in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington in March 2017. The lawsuit has been assigned to the Honorable Ronald B. Leighton, U.S. District Court Judge.
