About this Case:
Zeek’s Pizza, Inc. is a pizzeria chain that employs hundreds of employees at multiple corporate and franchise locations in the Pacific Northwest from Bellingham to Tacoma and West Seattle to Issaquah. Plaintiff Chance White worked as a delivery driver for one of Zeek’s franchise locations and found out that Zeek’s does not take care of its employees.
Mr. White has delivered pizzas for Zeek’s since January 2021. He claims that Zeek’s regularly violates Washington wage and hour laws. He claims that Zeek’s does not provide him with rest breaks, does not pay him all the tips that he earns, and did not pay for automobile expenses as required by Washington law. Mr. White further claims that Zeek’s charges customers an automatic “delivery charge” that Zeek’s retains without informing customers that the “delivery charge” is not paid to delivery drivers. Mr. White filed suit to correct these wrongs on behalf of himself and a class of Washington residents who were employed by Zeek’s from May 24, 2018 to present.
